![]() ![]() After around 4-6 sessions, most people who get CBT-I are able to fall asleep more quickly and sleep more soundly. As I completed advanced training in CBT-I, I learned why it’s the first-line treatment for chronic difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. I realized I needed additional tools to treat the insomnia and started researching the best psychological treatments for poor sleep, which led me to cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I).
